While we were still coming to terms with the death of a school teacher, we got a report of another death at the school. We don't want to sensationalize the event but readers should understand that the only reason we are publishing these events is to make sure that all saikapians are aware of what is being reported in the papers.

We have censored the picture as we simply could not publish graphic image of person hanging from a rope. For those who have a curiosity, please visit the URL "another_death_at_sskp"

Kapurthala, December 7

A teacher at Sainik School, Kapurthala, Ajit Kumar Mishra (28), committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan hook at his official quarters.

The staff of the school came to know about the incident this morning when the milkman informed them that despite repeated knocks at the door of Mr. Mishra's house, he did not open it.

At this, the staff members broke the door open and found Mr. Mishra's body hanging from the ceiling fan hook. According to eyewitnesses, the hands of the deceased were tied.

When contacted, the City SHO, Lakhwinder Singh Mal, said Mishra had committed suicide as he could not marry his girlfriend. Though he did not leave any suicide letter, yet the police came to know about his failure in love from an SMS he had sent to his girlfriend, he added.

Mr. Mishra hailed from Udham Singh Nagar in Uttrakhand and the police informed his brothers about the suicide on phone, he added. The SHO said inquest proceedings were initiated in the case under section 174 of the CrPC.

Everything that is good has to end one day. With profound grief and sorrow we inform the Saikapian community the passing away of Mrs CC Ellis, beloved wife of (Late) Mr AC Ellis at Sainik School Chottorgarh where she was staying with her younger son Joel Ellis.

For those who know the Ellis family, there can be no bigger a loss than this. Mere thought of the fact that both Mrs and Mrs Ellis are no longer with us gives me a strange feeling of helplessness. How strangers develop such strong bonds, only a Saikapian can know. To have so many to grieve and cherish, become selfless and nurturing like Mr & Mrs Ellis.

To convey your messages of condolences you can call Noel Ellis at 09819549736 and Joel Ellis at 09414477811. Mrs Ellis's funeral will take place at Jodhpur tomorrow ie 15th October.

From this sadness should emerge a feeling of great achievement. Long live the memory of these two fine individuals. Let us celebrate two exemplary lives, reminisce the good old days and chant  in their honor. Three cheers for Mr and Mrs Ellis... Hip-Hip-Hooray... Hip-Hip-Hooray... Hip-Hip-Hooray...
